Are you in need of an appointment urgently? Please find more information regarding our emergency procedures for private patients below. If you’re an NHS patient, the information you’ll need proceeds it.
If you have a dental emergency please telephone the practice straight away, preferably early in the morning so we can arrange for you to be seen as soon as possible. Daily slots both in the morning and afternoon surgery sessions are reserved for emergency patients – they are allocated on a first come first served basis.
If the emergency occurs over the weekend or during a national bank holiday, the practice telephone answer-machine will tell you how to get in touch with the on-call dentist.
Although we endeavour to see everyone in pain, priority will be given to registered patients. If you are not a registered patient, we will try as hard as we can to find you an appointment – although, we cannot guarantee there will be a slot available.
We will, however, help with advice and pointing you in the right direction to finding someone who can help if you require an emergency NHS dental appointment…

Dental Triage: Weekdays 7.30pm – 10.30pm and Weekends 7.30am – 10.30pm
Treatment Centres: Barnstaple, Plymouth, Exeter, Newton Abbot, A&E hospital service used for acute emergencies.

They run satellite clinics which may not be available each day; the nearest clinics to Holsworthy are Launceston and Bodmin.
Their out of hour’s service runs: Monday to Friday 17:30 – 19:30. Saturdays, Sundays & Bank Holidays 08:30 – 16:30.
Alternatively, you may prefer to make an urgent appointment with our private dental care within the Holsworthy Dental Centre premises. The practice normally keeps appointment slots available for emergencies and can be contacted using the button/number below.
