Single Tooth Implant – When you only have one tooth missing this can be replaced with an individual implant. This is the best treatment option available to not only restore the functionality of the missing tooth, but to support the health of the neighbouring teeth and persevere the jaw bone.
Implant Supported Bridge – You may have heard of a dental bridge before as the term is also used with treatment related to dentures. With an implant supported bridge we will fill multiple gaps in your mouth with minimal surgically placed implants. For example, if you have three teeth missing in a row you will not have an implant placed in the middle, only within the neighbouring gaps.
Full Set – Sometimes all of your upper or lower teeth will need replacing. This will be achieved with a full set. Although most adults have 32 teeth this does not mean you will need to have 32 implants placed. Lower jaws need a minimum of two implants and the upper jaw requires a minimum of four. It’s not uncommon for the upper jaw to require more implants due to the fact that the bone is softer compared to the lower jaw.

Dr Olivelle qualified at Guys Hospital, London and worked part-time as a Clinical Assistant in the Oral Maxillofacial department at St John’s Hospital, Chelmsford whilst establishing his own practice in St Albans. During this time, he also gained his fellowship of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI).
Dr Olivelle takes the utmost pride in his work and adopts a professional and caring manner. He is dedicated to providing the very best quality of dental care and treatment and has a keen interest in Oral Surgery, in particular all aspects surrounding the placement of dental implants, including perio-surgery (the gums), and oral enhancement/reconstruction. He regularly attends courses worldwide to ensure that he stays on top of the knowledge in the advancement of dentistry and is currently in the process of obtaining an MSc in Implantology.
